THE TATTTO —
Back in 2016, during my time with Todecacho, a brand that focused on curly and afro hair, I created this logo.
The logo symbolized the journey of transitioning hair – the moment when individuals embrace their natural hair texture after giving up chemical straightening.
This phase isn't easy, particularly for women. It can have a significant impact on self-esteem. Often, women either undergo a drastic haircut known as the big chop or deal with hair that has two different textures simultaneously – straight and curly.
What stands out to me is that one of our clients loved the logo so much that she got it tattooed on her skin. That moment was truly rewarding. Knowing that something I designed could mean so much to someone that they chose to permanently mark it on their skin is incredibly touching.
